MAAF Celebrates our veterans coast-to-coast
This veterans day, MAAF is partnering with local organizations to honor veterans including foxhole atheists. In the Northern Virginia / DC area or the LA/Santa Barbara area on the west coast, you can join MAAF. If you aren’t able, consider another way to honor veterans in your area.
- November 8th at 4PM at American University with the American U Humanist Chaplaincy. There will be a ceremony and presentation in (update) Battelle Auditorium. The building has the letters CAS in purple on the outside of the building and is labelled Battelle-Tompkins on the map. View the map here. The best place for parking is the Nebraska parking lot. Further details to be published.
- November 9th at 1:15PM at Arlington Cemetery. Veterans Day is about living veterans, but it is always appropriate to honor the fallen. MAAF will place a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns. Arrive at Arlington by 12:45PM or you won’t make it up the hill to Arlington. Find more details about foxhole atheist gravesites at MAAF’s Arlington Virtual Tour and the Arlington Visitor Site. Contact MAAF for any questions.
- November 13th in Orange County, CA with Backyard Skeptics. Presentation and dinner at 7PM. RSVP and get further details at meetup.com.
- November 16th in Santa Barbara, CA with Humanists of SB. 2:30PM Presentation at the Patio Room in Vista Del Monte with dinner following. Contact Humanists of Santa Barbara for more information.
