Donor Reception at the Army Navy Club in Washington, DC

Half way through the year, 2015 is going great due to our local volunteers as well as our generous donors. MAAF was able to host donors at the Army Navy Club for a catered reception to thank them for all their support. We were honored to see donors recommit as well with additional gifts. Special thanks and welcome to our new Donor Society members Christine and Ryan Jean who upgraded to the Kasten Leader Society and Michael Timinski and Jon Reel who upgraded to the Ingersoll Pathfinder Society. Learn more about Donor Societies and consider joining them today.

Ben Garcia, a Navy lawyer, will be speaking to the Ethical Humanist Society of Chicago on Jun 21st for anyone in the area. He is a Society member and will discuss the challenges he faces as an officer and lawyer.

Air Force Basic Training humanist services continue with visiting speakers. The trainees were able to hear from Carlos Bertha, MAAF Board Member, US Army Colonel, and instructor at the Air Force Academy as well as Scott Smith, who participated in the discussion about overcoming grief and stress.
